Welcome to Amplifiers 1 Online at Box Hill Institute. To study this module online, you will need the following:  

Hardware:

• A Pentium computer with at least 16M of RAM.
• A dial-up or permanent link to an Internet Service Provider

• If a dial-up link is provided, a 28.8k modem (minimum).

Software:

• Windows 95 or 98.
• Netscape Communicator 4 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or better. Many computer magazines provide free CD's containing these programs, which is the easiest way to obtain them.
• An email program and account with your internet service provider. Usually the email program is part of your browser (e.g. Netscape Communicator) software.
• Your browser may need to have the Shockwave for Director Plugin installed. To check if your browser can run the animations, click here. To download the Netscape 4 version of the plugin click here. You will then need to run this install program.
